Six brands.Many more stories.
HOMES.COM, COSTAR GROUP
copywriter
As a copywriter at homes.com, I produce content about living in New York City. Homes.com is the country’s fastest-growing real estate listings portal, and the company’s content arm functions as a fast-paced startup. As such, I’ve become an extremely nimble writer and editor who can expertly adjust to shifting goals, projects, and expectations.
In this role, I conduct in-depth research, interview sources, analyze data, and use my findings to write compelling stories. Every week, I produce a high volume of error-free copy, including articles and video scripts.
REAL SIMPLE, DOTDASH MEREDITH
assistant editor
As Real Simple‘s assistant editor, I am responsible for the pitching, research (market, photo, and background), reporting, writing, editing, and production of various columns.
As part of our home department, I write commerce, organization, and design articles. The home team also produces the annual holiday gift guide, which involves extensive research, brand relationships, organizing of submissions, requesting samples for testing and photoshoots, fact-checking, and writing short yet compelling captions.
I contribute to brand tentpoles like the Get It Done Virtual Home, Smart Money Awards, and the Real Simple Show Home. These projects require cross-platform content creation across print, digital, social, marketing, and video channels.
LUXE INTERIORS + DESIGN, SANDOW
freelance writer, social media assistant, and editorial intern
As a freelance writer, I contribute to the native content in Luxe Interiors + Design and collaborate with their in-house agency to produce B2B content for clients. These projects (some short-form and some long-form) entail writing profiles on industry professionals, conducting SEO research, interviewing field experts, and delivering a high volume of content on tight deadlines.
Before this, I freelanced with the social media team to create robust ad campaigns by writing targeted, relevant social copy. My experience with Luxe began in 2018 when I joined the team as an editorial intern. During this time I produced articles in the CMS, learned SEO best practices, wrote FOB items, led a special project, and assisted in social media rebranding.

V MAGAZINE
digital editorial intern
Working with the digital team at V meant being comfortable in a fast-paced, deadline-driven work environment. I wrote four to five articles daily for the V and VMAN sites. I built out the articles on WordPress with close attention to detail, while using proper SEO practices. During my time at V, I covered many topics including music, beauty, fashion, art, and pop culture. I also tackled behind-the-scenes tasks like conducting image research, transcribing articles, writing social media posts, and pitching fresh content.
WINE SPECTATOR, M. SHANKEN COMMUNICATIONS
digital editorial intern
I left my time with Wine Spectator a more well-rounded and intuitive journalist. Throughout the summer, I contributed to two columns of the magazine’s website: Unfiltered, a witty vertical on entertainment news in the wine world, and Turning Tables, a roundup of restaurant news.
Beyond polishing my writing, I was able to expand my knowledge in a variety of software by maintaining and updating databases and the CMS for the magazine’s redesigned site. I also wrote and produced two email newsletters, built a database of 2,000+ images, and created a social media calendar that included annual pop-culture references, evergreen content, and targeted posts.

DISTRACTION MAGAZINE
editor-in-chief
A quarterly lifestyle magazine, Distraction is the voice of the University of Miami. The publication operates like a professional magazine from concept to creation.
As editor-in-chief, I wore many hats. On top of writing and designing my own pieces, I outlined, edited, and approved the copy and art direction, while pursuing PR and advertising opportunities. I worked closely with university administrators to monitor finances, all the while liaising with the printers. Most importantly, I set and adhered to a specific vision for each issue.
I not only pushed myself creatively but created coachable moments as a leader. Under my leadership, the magazine received superb recognition, earning over 50 awards from institutions like the Columbia Scholastic Press Association and the Society of Professional Journalists.
